Bobcat Bulletin 11/22/23

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL: I want to wish everyone in our Hunking Community a very Happy Thanksgiving! Please enjoy this long weekend with your family and friends! I am grateful for your continued support!

NO SCHOOL THURSDAY & FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 23RD-24TH: HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 29TH IS AN EARLY RELEASE DAY FOR ALL STUDENTS. DISMISSAL WILL BE AT 11:05AM

ATTENDANCE MATTERS CAMPAIGN: Haverhill Public schools has partnered with an organization called Haverhill Promise and is running an Attendance Matters Campaign for the rest of this calendar year. What this means is that each week for the rest of 2023, if your student is in school every day on time, they will be entered into a raffle to win a prize. If they miss a day one week, that is okay, because they can be entered into the next week’s raffle. Hunking will have 4 winners school wide each week. This contest will run every week until Christmas break. The importance of this contest is that being in school daily is the first step to all students being successful in school.

SPELLING BEE (Grades 5 – 8): Calling all students who love a good C-H-A-L-L-E-N-G-E! Does your student like to read? Does your student enjoy learning new words? Our second annual middle school spelling bee will be happening in January, so we want to start preparing very soon so that everyone who wants to compete will have time to study. Please stay tuned for more information about Hunking’s participation in the Scripps National Spelling Bee!

HUNKING THEME OF THE MONTH: We are embracing the theme of GRATITUDE throughout the month of November! Gratitude is the quality of being thankful, readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. Staff will be on the lookout this month for the students who personify the theme of gratitude and show appreciation.

PICTURE MAKE-UP DAY: For any students who will need their pictures taken, or would like to do a retake, the date will be December 7th, 2023.
