Bobcat Bulletin 6/12/22

Bobcat Bulletin

C.D. Hunking School | June 12, 2022

Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring many of the end-of-the-year activities! There has been a lot of fun going on the past couple weeks. It has been wonderful to see students laughing and enjoying themselves. We all need more of that!

This week we welcomed many of our incoming 5th grade Bobcats. Students came for a tour and spent some time enjoying a snack and time outside on the playground with our 4th graders.

I have had several parents inquire if  the Washington D.C. trip will return. Yes it will! Mr. Ryan is the trip coordinator for Hunking and has been working with the coordinators at the three other middle schools to begin the planning process. We will host an information night in September for families and will coordinate with the PTO to help with fundraising for the trip. I am excited to have this tradition return.

It’s hard to believe that this will be my final Bobcat Bulletin. This past school year has been a roller coaster for everyone. I am grateful that I was able to go along for the ride with such a supportive, caring and collaborative Hunking community. I will be the first to admit, this school year was hard but I am proud of what we have accomplished despite the challenges. Thank you to the staff, students and families for all the love and support you’ve shown me this year as I stepped into the principal’s role. I know you will show Mr. Betty that same support this coming school year. I hope everyone takes some time with their family to have some fun this summer and I will look forward to seeing all those smiling faces again in late August.
