We have completed MCAS testing. Great job Bobcats on putting forth your best effort!

Please send your child to school with a water bottle. We do have bottle fillers and with the warm weather here it’s important students remain hydrated.

HUNKING HAPPENINGS

Student Council – Ms. Riley, Ms. Godfrey, Ms. Pouliot, Advisors

During the last few weeks of May the Upper School Student Council will be recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month. We will be selling Mental Health Awareness pins during the 6th, 7th and 8th grade lunches. 4th and 5th grade students can see Mrs. MacRae in the office to purchase their pin.

Save the Date! Mr. K and Mrs. Fairbrother are proud to announce, Into the Woods Jr. on Friday, May 20th at 7:00PM, Saturday, May 21st at 3:00PM and Sunday, May  22nd at 12:00PM. Doors will open 45 mins before the showtime. 

Tickets are on sale now at a reduced rate, this rate will only last till May 15th. Students and Adults are only $3.00 at this rate.

After May 15th it will be $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.  

Tickets can be purchased from students in the show or online at Into the Woods Jr. Online Ticket Purchase 

Thank you to the wonderful PTO for helping the club with the online sales. The students have been working really hard! Please come and support the show and the Drama Club.

PTO NEWS

The next Restaurant Night is scheduled at the Friendly Toast in North Andover on May 20th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Author/Illustrator Marty Kelley will be coming to Hunking on June 10th to present to grades K-4.

The final PTO Meeting of the year is scheduled for Thursday, June 2nd at 6:30PM in the Hunking Library. Babysitters will be on site. 

The PTO is looking for a Recording Secretary, a Communications Secretary and several Members at Large seats. Please email HunkingPTO28@gmail.com if you’re interested in getting involved!

CHROMEBOOKS

Please make sure your student comes to school every day with a charged Chromebook.

You have the opportunity to protect the Chromebook issued to your student by paying a Device Waiver Fee. This $20 fee will cover a single incident of damage or repair for the school year. It will not cover lost equipment. If the annual optional Damage Waiver Fee is not purchased, the typical cost of repairing components is as follows, and an invoice would be sent to the family:

  • Charger – $39
  • LCD Screen – $80
  • Top Cover (keyboard, trackpad, etc.) – $139
  • Device Replacement (when damage to the device is unrepairable) – $199
