Bobcat Bulletin

C.D. Hunking School | May 1, 2022

It is National Teacher Appreciation week. Please take a moment to thank our staff for all their hard work.

Thank you to Angel Harrell and Danielle Smida for coordinating the clean up at Hunking. Thank you to the families, Ms. Sciuto, Ms. Hatch and the NJHS students who volunteered their time. We picked up a lot of trash and did some weeding. So many dandelions! Hopefully next year more will be able to join us.

Reminder – if you are driving to drop off your child from 8:00-8:30 please use the designated lower school and/or upper school drop off areas. DO NOT pull up in front of the school or stop and drop your child off on the sidewalks along the main road on the school grounds.

The school nurses will be completing vision screenings this coming week. If your child wears glasses, please send them in next week. Thank you!

We sold “Peace Ribbons” to raise money for the people in Ukraine and raised $400!

This has been donated to the World Central Kitchen, who has been providing food to the Ukrainian refugees at the Polish border.

During the month of May we will be honoring Mental Health Awareness month and will be selling Mental Health Awareness pins. Students are researching different organizations to make a donation to and will vote after completing their research.

The next PTO meeting will be held on 5/2 at 6:30PM in the Hunking library. Childcare will be provided.
