Bobcat Bulletin
C.D. Hunking School | March 27, 2022
In response to unacceptable student behavior at the volleyball games this past week, students will not be allowed to attend the final two home games unless the student is accompanied by an adult.
Many years ago Hunking needed the support of the community to rebuild Hunking. Consentino now needs that same support as they move forward with rebuilding Consentino. The final public meeting will be held on April 13. Please see the flier Rebuild Consentino for details.
Please see the flier Merrimack Valley Virtual Transition Fair for information on the virtual transitional fair for special education families to learn more about the transition to adulthood for their child.
There will be two kindergarten information nights:
Tuesday, March 29 6-7:30pm at Haverhill Public Library
Wednesday, April 13 6-7:30pm at Bradford Elementary

PTO NEWS
The PTO is proudly hosting Hunking’s first Read-A-Thon that will run from April 1 – 24! Instructions on how to register your student(s) will be sent home and fun prizes will be awarded for top participants (most minutes read) and top fundraisers. Simply use the link or QR code that will be provided, enter your student’s name, your email address and select his/her classroom. We’re hoping this will become an annual event and that you’ll help keep your K-8 student(s) motivated to read (or be read to) for at least 20 minutes a day to potentially win some fun prizes! Instructions on how to track minutes read will follow.
The next PTO meeting will be held on Tuesday, 4/5 at 6:30PM in the Hunking library. Childcare will be provided.

CHROMEBOOKS
Please make sure your student comes to school every day with a charged Chromebook.
You have the opportunity to protect the Chromebook issued to your student by paying a Device Waiver Fee. This $20 fee will cover a single incident of damage or repair for the school year. It will not cover lost equipment. If the annual optional Damage Waiver Fee is not purchased, the typical cost of repairing components is as follows, and an invoice would be sent to the family:
- Charger – $39
- LCD Screen – $80
- Top Cover (keyboard, trackpad, etc.) – $139
- Device Replacement (when damage to the device is unrepairable) – $199
If you would like to submit your $20 (per student), please send it to Shelley MacRae in the main office. Make checks payable to: Haverhill Public Schools
