Incoming kindergarten students participate in a screening prior to school beginning. This is an opportunity for the staff to get to know your child. Children will work with a staff member one-on-one while a family member completes important paperwork. The staff member conducting the screening may not be your child’s kindergarten teacher. The appointment will be about 20-25 minutes long. An email with a Sign Up Genius link to choose a screening appointment time will be sent the week of August 10. Screenings will be held Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3 at Hunking School.

Class assignments will be sent Friday, September 4 and a meet the teacher event will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 9:00am. This will be an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher, see their classroom, and receive important information. The first day of kindergarten is Wednesday, September 9. 

Detailed information about all of this will be sent to incoming kindergarten families during the month of August.
