Bobcat Bulletin 6/6/25

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL: The last day of school is THURSDAY, JUNE 12th. It is a HALF DAY. DISMISSAL IS AT 11:05AM.

REPORT CARDS: Third Trimester (Final) Report Cards will be available on Thursday, June 12th. All students in Grades K-4 will come home with a physical copy of their report card. For students in grades 5-8 report cards will be available on the Student/Parent Portal on the same day.

8TH GRADE PROMOTION: The 8th grade promotion ceremony will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, June 11th, outside on the Upper School side. Students should arrive and report to their homerooms at 5:30pm to prepare.

This year, the ceremony will be held on the basketball courts. We will have all 8th-grade classes set up with chairs in a roped-off area. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the gymnasium.

We are asking families to bring their own lawn chairs and/or blankets. Families will be able to set up anywhere behind or beside the area where our 8th graders will be seated.

Families will not be allowed to set up prior to 5:00pm. We appreciate your attention and support with this.

Parking for this event will be very limited, so we are asking families to carpool and walk if able.

For those who are driving, we ask that you park in the lower school lot and the gravel parking lot adjacent to that.

The promotion ceremony should last for approximately 30-45 minutes maximum.

Immediately following the promotion ceremony, our 8th-grade students will be invited into our cafeteria & gym for their promotion dance, where food, music, and activities will be awaiting them.

The dance will end at 8:30pm. At this time, it will be expected that all 8th-grade students have rides waiting for them.

Please remember that all school rules still apply for the promotion and the promotion dance. Please review the following guidelines:

  • Students cannot bring bags of any kind. Small purses will be allowed, but are subject to search.
  • No outside food or drink will be allowed
  • Students must have a ticket to attend the event
  • Non-Hunking students are not allowed to attend the event
  • If a student leaves the event, they are not allowed to return

Thank you for your attention to this, and we look forward to sharing in an exciting/special event.

NEWS FROM OUR NURSES:  We are wrapping up the school year and parents of students with medication in the health office will need to pick up their medications such as inhalers and epipens. Please reach out to the office to make arrangements to pick up the medications at 978-420-1913. We will also be sending home paperwork for next year.

The health office does not have allergy medication, so please have your child take allergy medication if needed before coming to school.  Please make sure to apply sunscreen, particularly when your child is going on a field trip. It is important to protect a child’s skin from getting sunburned. The health office does not have sunscreen. Also, please send your child in with a water bottle. There are refill stations throughout the school for water.

ODDS & ENDS:

-Please make sure that your student(s) are coming to school daily with a fully charged Chromebook.

HPS has chosen School Device Coverage (SDC) to ensure the Chromebooks that students have been issued. The cost of coverage for the year is $20 and includes accidental damage, loss, fire, and theft. As of right now, families have the option to sign up during the month of September (we will let you know if it extends). After sign-up closes, only new students will be given a special code to sign up at registration. Our website explains SDC and has instructions on how to sign up online:

-Please make sure that you are sending your student(s) with a water bottle. We have a limited supply of cups, and we do not have access to water fountains, only water bottle filling stations.
