A message from the 5th grade

Team along with some recommended supplies.

We understand so much still needs to be finalized, but the 5th grade teachers realize that many parents are looking for guidance in preparing for this school year and purchasing school supplies. Your child’s backpack will be allowed to and from school but only accessed during scheduled parts of the day as lockers will not be available for use.

Thanks to the PTO each kid will have their own pencil case to remain on their desk and nobody else will touch their supplies on their desk.

We recommend that each student have a 2 inch, 3 ring binder with loose leaf lined paper, a set of binder two pocket dividers.  This notebook will be allowed to travel to and from school with your child.

Consider buying the following items to leave in your child’s pencil case:

Pencils, pens, erasers, highlighters, colored pencils or crayons, a small hand held pencil sharpener, small scissors, glue sticks and post it notes.

Much of what we do this year will be online and earbuds will be used regularly. We suggest that you get an inexpensive pair of wired earbuds that students can leave in their pencil boxes.

Each child should also bring with them a refillable water bottle clearly labeled with their name on it. They will be able to refill water bottles periodically.

We will be in contact with parents as soon as we get new information on class lists and schedules. Thank you for working together with us.

    ~ Grade 5 Teachers

**Parents of 6th graders……We as a 6th grade team understand that you are waiting for information, and we appreciate your patience. We have put together a simple list of school supplies that would work for students in either hybrid or remote academy.  In order to keep all students and staff as safe as possible we are asking that you be prepared to leave a majority of the supplies in school, rather than transport back and forth. For this reason, we ask that you do not purchase large or expensive items.

PTO is donating these pencil boxes and they will not leave the school. They will stay on the child’s desk and no one else will use that desk for the duration of hybrid learning.

    “8th Grade Supply

“Although much still needs to be finalized, the 8th grade teachers recognize that many parents are looking for guidance in preparing for this school year and purchasing school supplies. Because backpacks will be allowed to and from school but only accessed during scheduled parts of the day, we recommend each student have a 2 inch, 3 ring binder with both loose leaf lined and graph paper, 5 3-ring pocket folders, and a set of binder dividers.  This notebook will be allowed to travel to and from school with your child.

Thanks to our PTO, each student will have their own pencil case that remains on their desk. (Nobody else will use that desk or the supplies) Consider buying the following items to leave in your child’s pencil case:
Pencils, pens, highlighter(2), a set of colored pencils, and a small hand held pencil sharpener, earbuds.

Much of what we do this year will be online and earbuds will be used regularly. We recommend leaving an affordable pair in the pencil case rather than relying on remembering to bring earbuds back and forth each day. We are happy to help with supplies if needed. Everything is fluid and we would love to give ALL of the answers. Hopefully we will all know soon. Looking forward to a great year!
